ITA provides Iranian advocacy, trade, and conference services to its global membership. ITA's prime directive is to empower the Iranian American community to join its advocacy campaign against U.S. unilateral and extra-territorial trade sanctions on Iran. In support of its advocacy program, ITA provides trade information on Iran and promotes Iranian conferences worldwide.

The world is changing much too fast for all of us to keep up. With the creation of the European Union and numerous other multilateral trade agreements across the globe, countries and regions alike must use every means at their disposal to stay ahead of the game. One such success story is the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which helped revitalize Southern California's Maquiladora Industry.ITA can come to you

Concurrent to the undeniable competitive edge that NAFTA brought to North America, Many other countries are beginning to aggressively expand their presence in the global market place, like the Islamic Republic of Iran. Iran has become fertile ground for a host of international entrepreneurs from around the world, including some of America's biggest economic rivals like Japan, France, and Hong Kong.

In addition, Iranian businesses have grown roots in every major country around the world, from New Zealand to Canada.

The Iranian Trade Association (ITA) has been formed in order to promulgate the competitive advantage that a unified Iranian and international business community can have in the global marketplace. Through ITA, members can also keep up with new economic and business developments in Iran.

ITA is a California non-profit mutual benefit corporation serving the Iranian and international business community throughout the world. ITA's role between is to strengthen the bonds of economic diplomacy between Iran and the global marketplace; provide a catalyst for broader international economic cooperation; create; enhance the competitiveness of Iranian business interests in global markets; and contribute to the sustainable development and expansion of world trade.

Although trade between Iran and the United States is currently suspended due the U.S. unilateral trade sanction program, opposition from the international community will eventually bring about a change in U.S. foreign policy.

The diplomatic gains of this type of foreign trade policy is questionable. However, the consequences of the sanctions are clear. U.S. companies have been deprived of the opportunity to interact with the lucrative Iranian marketplace. Other countries continue to expand on their economic interests in Iran while U.S. Companies continue to incur significant losses and immeasurable opportunity costs.ITA can come to you!

Where business leads, public policy must follow. To this end, U.S. companies have launched a lobbying effort to lift U.S. trade sanctions and allow the free flow of trade and commerce to resume with Iran. ITA's special role in regards to U.S./Iranian relations is to leverage the collective strength of the American Entrepreneur in aiding it's ongoing lobbying efforts to lift U.S. trade sanctions on Iran.

One of ITA's prime directives is to facilitate the reestablishment of trade relations between Iran and the U.S., thereby developing a reconciliatory environment where the two countries can once again prosper economically. In staying true to the democratic process and ideals of good corporate citizenship, ITA seeks to work with the U.S. government, Iranian officials and various international organizations in rebuilding a productive dialogue that is in the interests of both economies. As Iran regains its economic prominence in the world, those companies who have strategically positioned themselves with ITA will stand to reap the benefits of their foresight and participation.
