LONDON, March 8 (Reuters) - Iran would start buying U.S. wheat if Washington, as it is reported to be considering, eased sanctions on its exports of rugs, pistachioes and caviar, a senior Iranian official said on Wednesday.
Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Morteza Sarmadi, responsible for relations with Europe and the Americas, told reporters on a visit to London: ``We do see the translation of words into action of the United States as a positive step. In response, we are going to buy wheat and other products like medicine.''
