Tehran, march 6, irna -- the islamic consultative assembly (majlis) approved the outlines of the single-reading budget for the next year here monday morning. the majlis afterwards began debating the revenue notices of the rls. 362,778 billion budget forwarded by the main commission, composed to deal with the budget. the expenditure notices of the budget will be discussed in a later stage. at the outset of the open session rapporteur of the main commission mohammad baqer nobakht haqiqi elaborated on the performance of the main commission and changes brought about to the rls. 358,800 billion budget bill presented by president mohammad khatami on december 15. the main commission finished its review of the financial bill at the end of last week. on the peculiarities of the 1379 budget, the rapporteur said that the next year's budget which will be the first installment of the third five year development plan (march 2000-march 2005) focuses on the creation of jobs as is the case in the whole of the plan. today's session of the majlis was presided over by the outgoing speaker hojjatoleslam ali akbar nateq-nouri.
