MOSCOW, Jan 6 (AFP) - Russia is preparing to sign a three billion dollar deal with Iran to provide Tupolev 334 planes, Sergei Ivanov, secretary of Russia's Security Council, announced Thursday.
"The contract is not only to supply planes but also train the personnel and a number of other questions," Ivanov said after a meeting with acting president Vladimir Putin.
The TU-334 has a range of about 3,000 kilometers (1,850 miles) and can carry 102 passengers, according to Itar-Tass news agency.
